Our Client is a leading manufacturer of glass containers in East Africa and is part of the globally diversified International Group. The group has a strong presence across Africa, Asia and the Middle East, known for innovation and ethical business practices. It handles international projects, engineering operations and global procurement from its Mumbai base, serving as a strategic sourcing and supply-chain hub.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the complete purchase order cycle from requisition to delivery.
- Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers to ensure reliability, quality, and timely supply.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to optimize cost and value.
- Ensure all procured parts meet required technical and quality specifications.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels and coordinate with internal teams to meet production or operational demands.
- Track deliveries, resolve discrepancies, and maintain accurate procurement records.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Any Graduate with 10-12 years of relevant experience in procurement, preferably in machine parts or engineering components.
- Strong negotiation, vendor management, and coordination skills.
- Good understanding of technical specifications and procurement processes.
