About The Role
The Org. is looking for a Manager for Supply Chain Management with hands-on experience on a contracts and procurement of Equipment's and Services for Wind and Solar projects. Exposure to Battery Technology is an added advantage.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Identifying potential suppliers, evaluating their capabilities, and selecting those that meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
- Negotiating favorable terms and conditions with suppliers to ensure cost savings and mitigate risks.
- Developing and managing procurement budgets, tracking spending, and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
- Procurement of WTG Tower, PV modules, String / Central Inverter, Transformers, Pooling substation, Transmission line etc.
- Procurement of WTG components including Tower Steel, flanges, lift and fabrication etc.
- Floating enquiries, conducting techno-commercial discussion, negotiation, approval and issuing Purchase orders.
- To support Engineering/technical team for technical evaluation by arranging necessary documents required from suppliers and contractors.
- Commercial Evaluation post technical evaluation for only technically qualified in coordination with engineering, project/User department as necessary based on the type of procurement.
- Contract for WTG E&C including crane hiring, manpower for WTG Erection and commissioning.
- Contract for WTG components logistics from Ex-Works, OEM factory to Project site.
- Finalization of Civil, Electrical and E&C contractors for Wind and Solar BOP Works.
- Coordinating with design, engineering, inspection and QA/QC dept for Order finalisation and execution.
- Adequate knowledge on all the statutory taxes for Supply (Sales) and Service (Erection and Civil) Orders/contracts of all the equipment's/activities involved in the projects.
- Reconciliation and preparation of document contractual closeout.
- Contract Closure - Co-ordinate all activities related to contract closure, resolve any open issues to the satisfaction as per the terms of the contract in order.
Required Qualification And Skills
- 10-to-12-years experience in Procurement, preferably on the renewable energy segment.
- Fluent in English, Hindi written and spoken
- Effective communication is essential for interacting with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Analytical skill - ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed purchasing decisions.
- Understanding budgets, managing costs, and identifying potential cost savings are essential aspects of the role
- Bachelor's degree in an any engineering discipline.
- Experience in procurement, preferably Renewable background.
- Familiarity with procurement software, ERP systems, and data analysis tools to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
- Familiar with Renewable Projects, power generation installations, wind and solar plants in particular
- Ability to travel as per the requirement. Preferred areas of exposure:
- Experience in renewables/wind/solar sector desirable.
- Knowledge of the electrical sector (generation and distribution) desirable.
