Procurement Manager

Purpose for the Job :

Lead and develop the Procurement function in India in alignment with the Global Procurement strategy. The role is responsible for driving strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier development, cost optimization, operational purchasing, and ensuring supply chain reliability for mechanical and electrical components across India and China while collaborating closely with the global procurement organization.

Qualifications :

• Academic degree in Engineering (Industrial/Mechanical) or Business Administration.
• 8–10 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing or Procurement, with Leadership Responsibilities.
• Experience working with Global Suppliers & International Sourcing.
• Strong negotiation and techno-commercial skills.
• Experience working in a matrix or international organization.
• Strong knowledge of Supplier Development, Cost management, and Global Procurement Strategies.
• Strong Communication Skills in English (Spoken & Written).

Competencies

• Experience in Wind Energy, Heavy Engineering, or Automotive Industries preferred.
• Strong knowledge of fabrication, plastics, rubber, or mechanical component sourcing.
• Experience working in an European Multinational Organization is an advantage.
• Strategic mindset with ability to drive sourcing initiatives and business impact.
• Structured, analytical and results-oriented with strong negotiation capabilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for interaction with senior leadership and global teams.
• Strong knowledge of Supplier Relationship Management (SRM).
• Ability to work effectively in a Cross-Cultural & International Environment.

Your primary workplace will be in Chennai, Thirumazhisai (Koodapakkam).
