Formulate comprehensive plans for the purchase and sourcing of Raw Material goods based on criticality of requirements, cost control norms and quality specifications.
Develop comprehensive plans for efficient Raw Material procurement.
Drive cost reduction opportunities through initiatives to improve the gross margins for the business.
Prepare comprehensive plans for vendor development and sourcing of new materials.
Make detailed plans to mitigate procurement risks and enhance cost efficiencies.
Prepare the purchase budget for all the Raw Materials for all manufacturing facilities of BCCL.
Plan and manage working capital for raw materials and manage the overall budgets.
Follow systems and processes for evaluation of suppliers and measure effectiveness
Obtain quotations, communicates specifications based on user inputs and decisions on vendor selection for purchase of all Raw Materials
Develop & maintain strong relationships with suppliers
Assist Head-Planning and Procurement in implementation of cost reduction plans
Adhere to annual and monthly purchase plans and projections
Forecast possible crises & bottlenecks due to fluctuations in market demand & supply of all Raw Materials
Ensure timely supplies to all units (company owned plants, 2Pand 3P) in adherence with formulated supply schedules
Negotiate competitive rates and freight charges with the vendors to minimize costs without compromising quality and timely availability of all Raw Materials
Coordinate with user departments regularly on issues related to materials specifications and quality deviations
Take responsibility of improving profitability by identifying cost reduction opportunities through appropriate and timely information support and analysis
Take initiatives for cost reduction in transportation, storage and other related costs by new initiatives and standardizing them
Ensure the availability of information on key operational and cost parameters at every stage of the Raw Material procurement cycle
Candidate Experience:
8-10 years of total experience in Procurement (FMCG /Paints/ Pharmaceuticals)
Educational Qualification:
MBA in SCM/ Operations from a Tier 1/Tier 2 Institute
