We are looking for a seasoned procurement professional to lead and strengthen our procurement, commercial negotiations, and vendor governance across the organization. This role will play a critical part in ensuring cost optimisation, quality control, and commercial prudence, while working closely with Finance, HR, Admin, IT, and other functional teams.

The incumbent will act as a central oversight and control layer, validating procurements across IT, Admin, HR, Facilities, and other functions to ensure alignment with budgets, business needs, and internal standards.

This role acts as a critical control and value-creation function, ensuring that procurement decisions are strategic, financially sound, and aligned with organisational priorities, while enabling teams to operate efficiently and responsibly.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement Governance & Oversight

  • Own and govern end-to-end procurement processes across IT, Admin, HR, Facilities, Marketing, and other support functions.
  • Review, validate, and approve procurement requests to ensure need-based purchasing, quality standards, and cost efficiency.
  • Establish and enforce procurement policies, approval matrices, and SOPs in alignment with finance and audit requirements.

Commercials & Negotiation

  • Lead commercial evaluations, price benchmarking, and contract negotiations with vendors and service providers.
  • Ensure optimal commercial terms, including pricing, payment terms, SLAs, penalties, and exit clauses.
  • Drive annual rate renegotiations and cost-saving initiatives across key vendor categories.

Vendor Management

  • Build and manage a robust vendor ecosystem across IT, Admin, HR, and shared services.
  • Conduct vendor performance reviews covering quality, timelines, compliance, and commercials.
  • Ensure vendor contracts are current, compliant, and aligned with organizational risk and governance standards.

Cost Control & Financial Alignment

  • Partner closely with the Finance Head on budgets, forecasts, and spend tracking.
  • Monitor procurement spends against approved budgets and highlight deviations proactively.
  • Identify opportunities for cost rationalisation, consolidation, and efficiency gains without compromising quality.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with HR, Admin, IT, Legal, and Business teams to understand requirements and provide procurement guidance.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to functional heads on vendor selection, commercials, and procurement strategy.
  • Support audits and internal reviews by maintaining accurate procurement documentation and controls.

Process Improvement & Compliance

  • Strengthen internal controls around procurement to mitigate financial, legal, and operational risks.
  • Drive digitization and system-based procurement workflows, wherever applicable.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards.

Who We're Looking For:

  • 810 years of progressive experience in Procurement, Commercials, Vendor Management, or Strategic Sourcing.
  • Prior experience in fintech, BFSI, technology, startup, or fast-growing organizations preferred.
  • Strong exposure to IT procurement, admin/facilities sourcing, and services procurement.
  • Proven track record of handling complex negotiations and cost optimisation initiatives.
  • Experience working closely with Finance, HR, Admin, and senior stakeholders.

Location: Goregaon West, Mumbai (Preference will be given to candidates residing in Mumbai's Western suburbs).
