Job Description

Job Summary: As a Procurement Manager, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the NPD (New

Product Development), Logistics, Warehouse teams, as well as external suppliers. You will manage

procurement processes to maintain optimal stock levels, avoiding shortages and excess, while ensuring timely

delivery and cost efficiency. With a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality, this position plays a key

role in ensuring smooth inventory flow, supplier relations and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement Operations :

Create and manage purchase orders with assigned Item/SKU/Product codes, specifications, and

requirements.

Procure components and materials in a timely manner to meet production schedules, ensuring

adherence to target price, quality, quantity, and delivery dates.

Maintain communication with suppliers to obtain competitive prices, benchmark costs, and

manage the development of new suppliers to diversify sourcing options.

Identify and negotiate contracts, pricing, payment terms, and cost-saving opportunities to optimize

procurement efficiency.

Checking/updating product & component artworks / technical files as per requirements.

Understanding Legal compliances for packaging for all regions and adhering to them

Inventory Management & Analysis:

Oversee incoming shipments and ensure accurate receipt of ordered units by reconciling purchase

orders with received quantities.

Monitor inventory levels across all locations using stock-tracking software and conduct regular

physical checks to maintain accuracy.

Analyze inventory data to ensure supply meets immediate demand, forecast future requirements,

and account for material lead times.

Coordination with Cross-Functional Teams:

Coordinate follow-ups with manufacturers and suppliers to meet production timelines and ensure

adherence to deadlines.

Partner with the Operations Manager to plan and execute timely reordering based on demand

forecasts and inventory levels.

Work with NPD to take over re-ordering, while ensuring the specifications, SOPs are being adhered

to

Collaborate with the Logistics team to ensure proper handling, storage, and delivery reconciliation

Liaise with the Finance team to prevent bottlenecks related to payment processing, ensuring

smooth and timely payments to suppliers.

Reporting & Process Optimization:

Prepare PO tracker, analyze procurement metrics, inventory health, and cost-saving initiatives.

Develop and implement new processes and best practices to enable the brand to scale operations

seamlessly and meet growth targets.

Identify operational bottlenecks and propose actionable solutions to improve efficiency and reduce

costs.

Qualifications:

Education: A bachelor's degree in Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Planning, Supply Chain

Management, Business Administration, Operations, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.

Experience: 5+ years of work experience in material/component procurement or planning in a

manufacturing environment or a similar role within a D2C, retail, or FMCG environment. Ability to

communicate clearly, concisely, and accurately across teams and stakeholders. Strong writing,

editing, and proofing skills are required

Skills:

Time Management: Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize

workload and meet tight deadlines effectively.

Technical Skills:

Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).

Experience with ERP systems is required.

Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail, with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Knowledge Base:

Proficient in demand forecasting techniques and inventory optimization principles.

Familiarity with procurement best practices and inventory management systems.

Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to represent

the brand. Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and accurately across teams and stakeholders.
