Role Description The Procurement Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at Mettcover®s facility in Ahmedabad. This role is responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities, including sourcing materials and services, evaluating and onboarding suppliers, and ensuring timely availability of inputs for manufacturing and operations. Day-to-day tasks include conducting market research, soliciting and comparing quotations, negotiating commercial terms, and preparing, reviewing, and maintaining procurement contracts and purchase orders. The Procurement Manager will collaborate closely with operations, production, finance, and quality teams to align procurement plans with business needs, optimize costs, and maintain compliance with company policies and relevant regulations. The role also involves monitoring supplier performance, maintaining accurate procurement records, identifying process improvements, and supporting strategic initiatives to strengthen the supply base for Mettcover®s cold chain packaging solutions.
Qualifications

Strong Procurement and Supplier Evaluation skills, with experience in sourcing, vendor selection, and supplier performance monitoring.
Proficiency in Contract Negotiation and Contract Management, including drafting, reviewing, and administering procurement agreements.
Solid Analytical Skills to assess cost, quality, risk, and market trends, and to support data-driven decision-making.
Experience in manufacturing or supply chain environments, preferably within packaging, cold chain, or related industries.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, build constructive supplier relationships, and manage multiple priorities.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with procurement or ERP systems and standard office tools.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field; professional certifications in procurement or supply chain are an advantage.
Knowledge of relevant compliance standards and basic understanding of ISO, GMP, or similar quality frameworks is beneficial.
