This position requires collaboration with project managers, superintendents, estimators, and senior leadership to drive purchasing efficiency and maintain supplier accountability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full procurement lifecycle—sourcing, RFIs/RFPs/RFQs, bid analysis, contract negotiation, purchase order processing, and supplier performance evaluation.
  • Develop and manage vendor qualification processes to ensure suppliers meet company quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Support project teams in identifying and selecting subcontractors, service providers, and specialty vendors.
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with local and national vendors to optimize pricing and delivery performance.
  • Maintain visibility into material lead times and availability; proactively communicate potential supply risks to project teams.
  • Collaborate cross-functional with Operations, Estimating, Finance, and on-Site Teams to forecast materials and equipment needs.
  • Implement procurement of best practices, cost-saving initiatives, and process improvements across the supply chain.
  • Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies, insurance and bonding requirements, and contract terms.
  • Manage procurement documentation including bid tabs, contract files, and change orders.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for vendor and category performance, pricing accuracy, and fulfillment efficiency.
  • Support sustainability and MWBE (Minority/Women-Owned Business Enterprise) participation goals where applicable.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management—preferably within commercial construction or real estate development.
  • Strong understanding of construction materials, subcontracting processes, logistics, and industry pricing.
  • Proven experience in vendor evaluation, contract administration, and cost control.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and familiarity with construction project management systems (e.g., Procore, Sage, Viewpoint, Smartsheet, or similar).
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in spend analytics, category management, and demand planning.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects and deliver results under deadlines.
