Overview

The scope of this role is to ensure sourcing of Agri-based, Cosmetics, staples and herbal raw materials to ensure competitive cost to company and mitigate risk of supply through proper contracting.

Roles and Responsibilities

Supplier and Vendor Management:

• Develop and execute strategic sourcing for raw materials( Agri and Non Agri based)
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and negotiate contracts
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable supply, quality and cost leadership
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with supply chain disruptions, price volatility, and quality issues.
• Resolve supplier issues and manage relationships to ensure compliance with agreements.
• To lead contracting with inputs from legal & user departments.

Cost Negotiations:

• Identify cost reduction opportunities and implement savings initiatives.
• Manage market cost fluctuations and negotiate for minimization of impact
• Send RFQs, take quotations, negotiate, and finalize new product costing
• Negotiate and execute short-term supply and price agreements.

Supply Management:

• Initiate material planning against rolling demand plan
• Ensure materials are available as per production schedule and business plan

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum 2-4 years of experience in the FMCG/Food industry raw materials sourcing role
• Education: BE/B Tech/MBA-Supply Chain/Operations
• Strong knowledge of the industry and market conditions
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and rapport-building
• Able to travel to meet vendors and suppliers as necessary
