Procurement & Logistics – Controller- Automotive Business

We are in the process of identifying a suitable candidate for the role of Procurement & Logistics – Controller . This role will be based in Pune and will report to the Business Controller, Global Automotive IT and R&D.

A Logistics and Procurement Finance Controller manages the financial aspects of logistics and procurement operations, ensuring cost efficiency, compliance, and accurate reporting within the supply chain. This role combines financial oversight with operational coordination, often bridging procurement, logistics teams, and finance leadership.

Key responsibilities (or What you can expect in the role)

  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for procurement and logistics activities, including vendor payments, accruals, and cost variances.
  • Monitor and control P&L for logistics costs like freight, duties, tariffs, and inventory holding; perform variance analysis and drive cost-saving initiatives.
  • Manage accounts payable processes, invoice verification (PO/GRN matching), cash flow forecasting, and bank reconciliations specific to supply chain vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, audit readiness for procurement files, and accurate tracking of rebates, intercompany recharges, and FX exposures.
  • Partner with procurement and logistics teams to analyze KPIs (e.g., cost per shipment, savings from negotiations) and support strategic decisions.

Requirements (or We Expect You To Have/be)

  • CA/CWA/MBA Finance/CA-Inter with 5 years of relevant experience
