Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Head to lead and manage the end-to-end procurement function for a fast-growing electrical manufacturing organization. The ideal candidate will have strong exposure to sourcing of electrical components, vendor development, cost optimization, and supply chain management within transformer, panel, switchgear, or EV charging industries.
Key Responsibilities
Lead procurement strategy, planning, and execution aligned with business goals
Manage sourcing of key raw materials such as CRGO/CRNGO steel, copper, aluminum, busbars, switchgear components, enclosures, and bought-out items
Develop and maintain a robust vendor base across domestic and international markets
Drive cost reduction initiatives through negotiation, value engineering, and alternate sourcing
Ensure timely availability of materials to support production schedules and project timelines
Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supply risks to ensure continuity
Implement procurement policies, SOPs, and compliance standards
Collaborate with production, design, quality, and finance teams for effective planning and execution
Lead contract negotiations, vendor agreements, and performance evaluations
Optimize inventory levels while maintaining material availability
Drive digitization/ERP-based procurement processes and reporting
Skills :-
Bachelors degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical preferred); MBA in Supply Chain/Operations is an advantage
Procurement experience in transformer, panel, switchgear, or EV charging manufacturing
Strong vendor network in electrical manufacturing ecosystem
