The Purchase Officer will be responsible for processing and executing procurement activities based on Purchase Requisitions (PR) received from R&D and Production departments. The role includes obtaining quotations, price comparison, negotiation, purchase order creation, and ensuring timely material delivery as per project timelines. The position focuses on order execution, follow-up with vendors, documentation control, and coordination with internal departments to ensure uninterrupted project and production activities while maintaining cost efficiency
Job Responsibilities
- Process Purchase Requisitions (PR) received from R&D and Production departments.
- Obtain quotations from approved vendors.
- Prepare price comparison statements and support cost evaluation.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Coordinate with internal departments to avoid delays in project or production activities.
- Track order status and update PR/PO trackers regularly.
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with company procurement policies.
- Support the finance team with invoice verification and payment follow-ups when required.
- Maintain vendor communication and resolve supply-related issues
Skills Required
- Qualification: Bachelor's degree or Diploma in a relevant Field
- Technical Knowledge : Technical knowledge about mechanical items and electrical items is added advantage
- Experience: 0 2 Years preferred
