The Procurement Executive – Packaging Materials will support the sourcing and
procurement of packaging materials required for production. This is an entry-level role ideal
for freshers or professionals with up to 1 year of experience who are keen to build a career
in procurement and supply chain management.
The role involves coordinating with internal teams such as Production, Quality, Warehouse,
and Finance to ensure timely availability of packaging materials while maintaining basic cost
and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Packaging Material Procurement
Assist in sourcing and purchasing packaging materials as per production
requirements
Support vendor identification, evaluation, and onboarding under guidance
Raise purchase orders and follow up with suppliers for timely delivery
Maintain basic supplier documentation and records
2. Inventory Coordination
Track packaging material stock levels and update inventory records
Coordinate with Production and Warehouse teams for material requirements
Support timely replenishment of materials to avoid production disruptions
3. Quality & Compliance Support
Coordinate with the Quality team to ensure packaging materials meet approved
specifications
Assist in material inspection documentation and quality records
Report quality-related issues to seniors and follow up with suppliers
4. Supplier Coordination
Communicate with suppliers regarding order status, delivery timelines, and basic
queries
Support resolution of minor issues related to quantity, quality, or delivery
Help maintain supplier performance data
5. Cost & Data Management
Assist in cost tracking of packaging materials
Maintain procurement MIS, reports, and basic analysis
Support senior team members during price comparisons and negotiations
Education
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics,
Engineering, or a related field
Experience
0–1 year of experience in procurement, supply chain, operations, or related
internships
Freshers with relevant academic projects or internships are encouraged to apply
Exposure to packaging materials or manufacturing environment is an added
advantage
Skills Required
Basic understanding of procurement and supply chain concepts
Good communication and coordination skills
Proficiency in MS Excel and basic documentation
Willingness to learn vendor management and procurement processes
Detail-oriented with good follow-up skills
