Job Title: Executive Procurement (Fruits & Vegetables)
Role Overview:
The Procurement Executive will be responsible for sourcing and managing procurement of fresh fruits and vegetables, ensuring consistent quality, competitive pricing, and timely availability. The role requires close coordination with farmers, vendors, and internal teams to maintain smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Vendor Development & Management
- Identify and onboard reliable farmers and vendors for fruits & vegetables
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers for consistent supply
- Support in price negotiations to ensure cost-effective procurement
- Coordinate with vendors for quality, quantity, and timely dispatch
2. Procurement Planning
- Plan daily procurement based on demand, seasonality, and availability of produce
- Track market rates and fluctuations in F&V pricing
- Work closely with quality and logistics teams for smooth procurement and delivery
- Ensure freshness and adherence to quality standards
3. Procurement Operations
- Ensure timely collection of quotations and creation of purchase orders
- Follow up with vendors to ensure on-time delivery of fresh produce
- Maintain records of purchase orders, vendor details, and price lists
- Coordinate with accounts team for payment tracking and follow-ups
- Handle vendor queries regarding orders and payments
- Maintain procurement data using Excel/ERP systems
4. Reporting & MIS
- Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation
- Prepare daily/weekly reports on procurement and vendor performance
