Procurement Executive
The Procurement Executive will be responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities, including vendor sourcing, quotation evaluation, negotiation, and material coordination to ensure timely availability of resources for project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement Operations
• Float enquiries (RFQs) to approved vendors and subcontractors as per project requirements
• Evaluate quotations based on techno-commercial parameters and prepare comparative statements (CS)
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to achieve cost efficiency
• Convert finalized offers into Purchase Orders (POs) ensuring accuracy in terms and conditions
Vendor Management
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors/suppliers
• Maintain strong relationships with existing vendors for smooth operations
• Monitor vendor performance on quality, cost, and delivery timelines
• Resolve vendor-related issues, discrepancies, and disputes effectively
Material Planning & Coordination
• Coordinate with project/site teams to understand material requirements and timelines
• Track material delivery schedules and ensure timely supply to sites
• Follow up with vendors for dispatch, logistics, and delivery status
• Coordinate with stores for material receipt and verification
Cost Control & Optimization
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and value engineering
• Suggest alternate materials/brands without compromising quality
• Support bulk procurement, rate contracts, and long-term agreements
Documentation & Compliance
• Maintain proper records of POs, quotations, agreements, and approvals
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and audit requirements
• Coordinate with finance for invoice verification and payment processing
Systems & Reporting
• Use ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/D365) for procurement transactions
• Generate reports such as PO status, pending orders, and vendor performance
• Maintain accurate procurement data for analysis and decision-making
Eligibility Criteria
• Qualification: Bachelor's Degree (Engineering / Commerce / Supply Chain preferred)
• Experience: 1–3 years in procurement (preferably in construction/real estate industry)
Key Skills Required
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
• Effective communication and coordination abilities
• Analytical mindset with cost optimization focus
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, D365, etc.)
• Basic understanding of construction materials (civil/electrical/plumbing preferred)
