Your Role And Responsibilities
As a Procurement Operations Professional, you will support various procurement activities and tasks that are not sourcing specific, ensuring maximum value add is attained. This role requires a strong knowledge of global procurement practices and the ability to apply procurement business techniques to understand and satisfy client needs. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Support Global Procurement Teams: Interface and support IBM's country, regional, and/or worldwide procurement teams and processes, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise
The Procurement Deal Desk Professional is data-driven professional who supports strategic sourcing teams by developing modeling for complex deals. This role focuses on quantitative analysis to optimize supplier negotiations, evaluate cost structures, and drive data-informed procurement decisions. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with the ability to organize data for insights including but not limited to:
- Building detailed cost models, pricing simulations, and scenario analyses to support sourcing strategies.
- Perform sensitivity analyses and forecasting to evaluate supplier proposals.
- Translate complex datasets into clear, actionable models
- Present outcomes and recommendations to sourcing teams and business stakeholders.
- Collaborate with finance and business units as needed
Required Professional and Technical Expertise
- Experience in procurement analytics, financial modeling, or deal desk operations.
- Strong proficiency in Excel (including advanced formulas, pivot tables, etc)
- Excellent quantitative, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, matrixed environment

- Familiarity with ERP systems (Ariba) a plus
