Healthcare Process Trainer (RCM / Medical Coding)

We are looking for an experienced Healthcare Process Trainer to drive learning, capability building, and performance improvement across medical coding, accounts receivable, payment posting, and other healthcare revenue cycle operations.

Role Overview

As a Healthcare Process Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering impactful training programs, onboarding new associates, upskilling existing teams, and ensuring operational readiness across multiple revenue cycle functions.

You will work closely with Training Managers and Operations Leaders to identify skill gaps, design learning interventions, evaluate training effectiveness, and support workforce development initiatives that improve quality, productivity, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Training Delivery

  • Conduct classroom, virtual, one-on-one, and on-the-job training sessions for new hires and existing associates.
  • Deliver training across Medical Coding, Accounts Receivable, Payment Posting, Charge Entry, and related healthcare revenue cycle processes.
  • Facilitate engaging learning experiences that improve knowledge retention and operational performance.
  • Support onboarding and certification programs for new team members.

Learning & Development

  • Partner with operations and training leaders to identify training needs and capability gaps.
  • Conduct Training Needs Analysis (TNA) and recommend learning interventions.
  • Update training content to reflect process changes, compliance updates, and operational requirements.
  • Design refresher programs and continuous learning initiatives.

Performance Evaluation

  • Assess trainee performance through evaluations, certification tests, quizzes, and feedback sessions.
  • Monitor learner progress through nesting and transition phases.
  • Track quality and productivity improvements following training interventions.
  • Support bottom-quartile improvement plans and targeted coaching initiatives.

Training Operations & Reporting

  • Maintain training MIS reports, attendance records, certification results, and learning dashboards.
  • Monitor training effectiveness through operational metrics and stakeholder feedback.
  • Prepare reports and recommendations for training leadership and operations teams.
  • Ensure compliance with training governance and documentation standards.

Healthcare Domain Expertise

  • Support training on healthcare terminology, coding concepts, RCM workflows, insurance processes, and reimbursement fundamentals.
  • Build awareness of ICD, CPT, HCPCS, EOBs, payer processes, and healthcare regulations.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to maintain domain-relevant learning programs.
  • Ensure training content aligns with evolving healthcare and revenue cycle requirements.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 3+ years of overall experience with at least 2+ years in process training, healthcare training, medical coding training, or revenue cycle operations training.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare revenue cycle management processes.
  • Experience training associates across Medical Coding, Accounts Receivable, Payment Posting, Charge Entry, or related healthcare operations.
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation, communication, and coaching skills.
  • Experience conducting Training Needs Analysis (TNA) and measuring training effectiveness.
  • Strong reporting and documentation skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital learning platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

  • B.Sc./M.Sc. Nursing, B.Pharm, M.Pharm, Life Sciences, or other healthcare-related educational background.
  • Knowledge of ICD, CPT, HCPCS, EOBs, healthcare terminology, and U.S. healthcare operations.
  • CRCR certification or healthcare coding certifications are advantageous.
  • Experience working in healthcare BPO, RCM, hospital operations, or healthcare services environments.
