Process Shift Incharge & Production Incharge

Key Responsibilities

Process Shift Incharge

• Monitor and control daily distillery and ethanol production operations during assigned shifts
• Operate and supervise fermentation, distillation, evaporation, dehydration, and alcohol recovery processes
• Maintain process parameters: temperature, pressure, pH, flow rates, alcohol strength, and yield as per SOPs
• Coordinate with utility, boiler, ETP, lab, and maintenance teams for smooth operations
• Ensure raw material dosing, yeast propagation, fermentation efficiency, and alcohol recovery optimization
• Record and verify shift production data, log sheets, and consumption reports
• Handle process upsets, breakdowns, and emergency situations effectively
• Guide and supervise operators and helpers during the shift
• Ensure strict adherence to safety, GMP, statutory, and pollution control norms

Production Incharge

• Plan and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production targets
• Optimize yield, recovery, energy consumption, and overall plant efficiency
• Ensure compliance with Excise, Pollution Control Board, PESO, and safety regulations
• Coordinate with quality, maintenance, stores, utilities, and ETP departments
• Monitor material balance, losses, downtime, and productivity KPIs
• Implement process improvements, SOPs, and cost-reduction initiatives
• Prepare and submit production MIS reports to management
• Train, evaluate, and manage production manpower
• Support plant audits, inspections, and statutory documentation
