Flychem is looking for an experienced Process Scale-Up & Toll Manufacturing Manager to lead external manufacturing coordination, process scale-up activities, and commercial production execution for specialty intermediates and functional ingredients across cosmetic, pharmaceutical, and agrochemical sectors.
The role will act as a bridge between R&D, manufacturing partners, QC, regulatory, procurement, and commercial teams to ensure smooth transition from laboratory development to commercial-scale manufacturing. The candidate will support both in-house production activities and external toll manufacturing operations across multiple specialty chemical platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate scale-up and commercial manufacturing activities for specialty intermediates and functional ingredients
- Manage external toll manufacturing partners and contract manufacturing operations
- Support technology transfer from R&D to commercial manufacturing
- Review and coordinate:
- Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR)
- Batch Packaging Records (BPR)
- Process instructions
- Production logs
- Yield reports
- Coordinate pilot batches, validation batches, and commercial production batches
- Monitor production performance, yields, process deviations, and optimization opportunities
- Work closely with R&D teams during process scale-up and troubleshooting
- Coordinate with QC and regulatory teams for documentation and approvals
- Support raw material planning, production scheduling, and dispatch coordination
- Conduct manufacturing follow-ups with external partners to ensure timelines and quality compliance
- Support vendor audits, technical evaluations, and manufacturing capability assessments
- Ensure confidentiality and process protection during external manufacturing activities

Required Qualifications
- B.Tech / M.Tech / M.Sc in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, or related field
- Minimum 5–10 years of industrial experience in specialty chemicals, APIs, intermediates, agrochemicals, or cosmetic ingredients
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and process scale-up
- Experience handling external manufacturing or contract manufacturing operations preferred
- Understanding of batch manufacturing processes and process documentation
- Good coordination and project management capability
- Strong troubleshooting and execution skills
