Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Process Safety Engineer position at Jamshedpur, Kharkhand. The Process Safety Engineer will be responsible for identifying and assessing potential hazards in industrial processes to ensure the safety of personnel, equipment, and the environment. Duties will include conducting hazard analysis, implementing safety systems, developing risk management programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing training to staff on safety standards and procedures. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be key in optimizing safety and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), Hazard and Operability Study (HAZOP), GAP and Risk Assessments
  • Proficiency in Safety Management Systems and compliance with local and international HSE regulations
  • Strong understanding of chemical process operations, process design, and process safety principles
  • Ability to develop and implement safety procedures, evaluate workplace hazards, and propose mitigative measures
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with an ability to deliver training and create reports
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field
  • Professional certification such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or equivalent is an advantage
  • Relevant experience in the oil & gas, chemical, or manufacturing industry is highly desirable
