Job Description

Job Summary:

The Process Planner at Cyient Ltd will be responsible for developing, documenting, and optimizing manufacturing and assembly processes to ensure efficient production and high-quality output. This role is crucial for streamlining operations and enhancing overall productivity.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement detailed manufacturing and assembly process plans, including work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process flow diagrams.
  • Analyze existing production processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement, and propose solutions.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure process plans are aligned with product design, quality standards, and production capabilities.
  • Estimate production times, resource requirements, and costs associated with new or revised processes.
  • Conduct time studies and apply lean manufacturing principles to optimize cycle times, reduce waste, and improve productivity.
  • Ensure adherence to established procedures.
  • Participate in root cause analysis for production issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all process-related information.

Job Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in process planning, manufacturing engineering, or a similar role, preferably within a complex manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including machining, assembly, fabrication, and testing.
  • Proficiency in creating and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
