Job Summary:
The Process Planner at Cyient Ltd will be responsible for developing, documenting, and optimizing manufacturing and assembly processes to ensure efficient production and high-quality output. This role is crucial for streamlining operations and enhancing overall productivity.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement detailed manufacturing and assembly process plans, including work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process flow diagrams.
- Analyze existing production processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement, and propose solutions.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure process plans are aligned with product design, quality standards, and production capabilities.
- Estimate production times, resource requirements, and costs associated with new or revised processes.
- Conduct time studies and apply lean manufacturing principles to optimize cycle times, reduce waste, and improve productivity.
- Ensure adherence to established procedures.
- Participate in root cause analysis for production issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all process-related information.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in process planning, manufacturing engineering, or a similar role, preferably within a complex manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including machining, assembly, fabrication, and testing.
- Proficiency in creating and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
