Process Engineer

We are hiring a Process Engineer for technology development and validation.

Intrinsic Foundries is a biological manufacturing platform. We convert industrial carbon, both emissions and effluents, into high-value biochemicals. Backed by Transition VC. Built out of Hazaribagh, Jharkhand. This role sits at the heart of how we raise our technology readiness and get new processes ready to commercialise.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

• Carbon capture validation: design and run the experiments, work out the data points the norms require, spec the sensors and measurements with the team, and make sure everything is recorded to standard

• Harvest and drying technologies: test and scale up microalgae harvesting and drying, where a lot of cost and performance is decided, and hand clean findings to engineering and operations

• New technology development: help develop, scale, and validate the emerging tech that widens our platform

• Growth optimisation: try new ways to push microalgae growth, from process variables and control strategy to harvest strategy and unit automation

• Technology transfer: document it so it can be commercialised, write the SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and validation frameworks, and support engineering and operations through scale-up

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR (Essential)

• B.E. or B.Tech in Chemical Engineering with at least 3+ years of experience, or M.Tech in Chemical Engineering from a Tier I institute

• Hands-on lab experience and a working knowledge of standard chemical industry equipment

• Ability to design experiments, break a problem down to material and system requirements, and make clean PFDs and P&IDs

Preferred

• Experience with cell cultures of any kind: bacteria, yeast, or microalgae

• Exposure to chemical reactors, bioreactors, or fermentation vessels

• Familiarity with CO2 capture systems

• Basic SCADA or PLC understanding from a sensor and instrumentation view

• Startup or multidisciplinary team experience
