Position Overview: As an Analyst / Engineer – Business Engineering, you will work closely with engineering and project teams to understand customer requirements and help develop technical solutions for automation and manufacturing projects. Your role will involve supporting the preparation of technical proposals, feasibility studies, and basic cost and efficiency calculations. You will learn how customer requirements are converted into practical engineering solutions, and how technical inputs are presented clearly to customers through drawings, layouts, and presentations. You will also assist in maintaining project and customer data, preparing presentations, and supporting discussions with customers under the guidance of senior engineers.

Job Description:
- Understand customer requirements and support the development of technical and commercially viable automation solutions; assist in responding to RFQs and client queries.
- Support the preparation of techno-commercial proposals, including technical write-ups, scope definitions, and supporting documentation.
- Perform cycle time calculations, line balancing, efficiency studies, and capacity planning for automation and manufacturing projects.
- Develop conceptual layouts, preliminary designs, tentative BOMs, and technical responses in coordination with design and automation teams.
- Maintain and regularly update proposal MIS, RFQ trackers, and prospective customer databases.
- Coordinate closely with design, automation, costing, and project teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of proposals.
- Prepare clear and professional presentations for customer meetings, internal reviews, exhibitions, and industry events; support presentations to potential clients.
- Assist in monitoring project-related activities by coordinating with internal teams and customers to ensure smooth information flow.
- Gradually take ownership of assigned tasks and work with increasing independence, while receiving guidance from senior team members.
- Support efforts to build and maintain strong customer relationships by understanding client expectations and contributing to overall customer satisfaction.
Qualifications, Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related engineering discipline relevant to industrial automation and manufacturing).
- Fundamental understanding of manufacturing processes and industrial automation, including welding processes, machining, fixtures, robotic cells, and production line concepts.
- Ability to analyze customer requirements, interpret RFQs, and support the development of technical solutions and pre-sales proposals.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to interact with customers, understand their needs, and support technical discussions.
- Proficiency in English for professional communication, technical documentation, and presentations.
- Ability to prepare clear, structured, and impactful presentations for technical proposals, customer meetings, and internal reviews.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, especially MS Excel (basic calculations, data analysis), PowerPoint (presentations), and Word (technical documentation).
- Exposure to or interest in using AI-based tools (such as ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar) for proposal drafting, data analysis, presentation structuring, and workflow efficiency is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical, logical, and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
- Good listening, coordination, and stakeholder management skills, with a solution-oriented and customer-focused mindset.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and changing priorities, typical of pre-sales and proposal-driven environments.
- Prior exposure to customer interaction, technical support, pre-sales, or business engineering roles will be an added advantage.
