Role Overview:
The Process Documentation and Controls Specialist will be responsible for documenting and validating processes and controls within regulatory reporting frameworks. The role involves working closely with Regulatory Reporting SMEs and reporting teams to ensure processes and controls meet bank standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Document processes using the ARIS tool, collaborating with Regulatory Reporting SMEs to understand and document processes in accordance with bank standards and obtain agreement from reporting leads.
- Revalidate existing process maps, clear validation errors, and facilitate their publication.
- Support the upliftment of controls across various risk types including NCCR, CCR, and Operational Risk RWA.
- Understand reporting processes and existing controls in place.
- Assess controls against minimum regulatory requirements and guidance.
- Assist reporting teams in enhancing controls as needed.
- Document controls and continuous monitoring plans using bank-standard risk management tools.
- Validate the operation of controls and gather evidence to support compliance and audit requirements.
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of process documentation, controls, and non-financial risk management.
- Experience with ARIS or similar process documentation tools is highly desirable.
- Some experience in regulatory reporting or financial reporting is beneficial.
- Ability to work directly with reporting teams, managing competing priorities and blackout periods with strong organizational and structured working skills.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
