L&T is seeking a CAD P&ID Drafter (with mid-level design experience in Instrument, Electrical & Controls)
Read and fully understand P&ID's and other documents which describe the scope of work
With minimal supervision prepares simple to complex engineering P&ID drawings
With minimal direction performs P&ID updates from basic red-line (as-built) data supplied
Demonstrates proficient skills in CAD utilizing client's current version of AutoCad, Smart Plant and Document Management System
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of P&ID's, One-Lines, Instrument Loop Diagrams and Schematics
Proficiently identify field, mechanical equipment, electrical, instrumentation and piping components
Ability to create, modify and maintain P&ID drawings using proper drafting standards and follows Management of Change (MOC) information (MOC redline/comments)
Ability to apply client Engineering Standards as part of day-to-day technical support of assignments
Ability to interpret Engineering mark-ups and accurately make drawing corrections
Ability to field as-built P&IDs relative to design of project scope and/or common field changes for Project Closure and PHA purposes
Ability to create/modify non-P&ID drawings such as mechanical, inspection drawings, plot plans and overall general drafting
Work closely with Design and PSV groups to assist with Project P&ID Drawings, as built P&IDs, and PSV field verification updates
Maintain cooperative, efficient, and good team working environment
Communicate, both verbally and in written form in a professional manner
Meet or exceed the company and customer safety standards. Comply with all company and customer procedures, engineering practices and other standards
