About the Role

Hi-Tech Audio is looking for a Pro Audio Service Engineer to join our Service & Technical Support team.

The role involves servicing, troubleshooting, installation and technical support of professional audio equipment, with a focus on digital mixing consoles, digital I/O, DSP, amplifiers and associated products.

The candidate should have a basic understanding of professional audio systems and electronics, along with a strong interest in developing advanced technical skills.

Key Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, service and maintain digital mixing consoles, stage boxes, digital I/O, DSP, amplifiers and related professional audio equipment.

Diagnose hardware, software, firmware and system-level faults.

Perform equipment testing, repairs, firmware updates and configuration.

Support customers remotely and at customer sites for technical issues.

Assist with installation, commissioning and system troubleshooting.

Develop working knowledge of Dante, MADI, AES67, AVB and digital audio networking.

Perform basic network troubleshooting involving IP addresses, switches and device communication.

Coordinate with international OEM technical support teams for complex technical issues, warranty and RMA cases.

Identify required spare parts and coordinate with the internal service team for repairs and replacements.

Prepare service reports and maintain proper service records.

Support Sales/Application teams during product demonstrations, installations and technical evaluations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Diploma / Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Audio Engineering or a related field.

1–4 years of experience in professional audio service, electronics service, system integration or a related technical field.

Basic understanding of audio signal flow, analog/digital audio and professional audio equipment.

Basic knowledge of electronics troubleshooting and use of a test equipment.

Familiarity with digital mixing consoles is preferred.

Basic understanding of computer networking is an advantage.

Experience with brands such as Digico and KLANG and similar professional audio brands will be an advantage, but it is not mandatory.

Good communication and customer-handling skills.

Willingness to travel within India for customer service, installations and technical support.

Strong willingness to learn advanced digital audio, networking and professional audio technologies.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone who has a hands-on technical approach, good troubleshooting ability and genuine interest in professional audio.

Candidates who may not have extensive digital-console experience but have a good foundation in electronics, audio equipment service or professional audio systems and are willing to learn will also be considered.
