Private Equity Fund Accountant / Senior Fund Accountant (Gurgaon, India)

A leading global alternative investment platform is seeking Fund Accountants / Senior Fund Accountants to support private equity fund operations and investor accounting activities.

The role offers exposure to complex fund structures, capital activity, investor reporting, and fund lifecycle events while partnering with global finance and investment operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Support fund accounting and investor accounting activities across private equity structures
• Process capital calls, distributions, investor allocations, and cash movements
• Review and reconcile investor statements and capital account activity
• Support waterfall calculations and carried interest allocations
• Assist with quarter-end reporting and fund close processes
• Maintain fund accounting records and investment activity documentation
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external service providers
• Support operational improvements and reporting initiatives

Key Requirements

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related discipline
• At least 2-5 years of experience in Private Equity Fund Accounting
• Strong understanding of capital calls, distributions, NAVs, investor allocations, and fund structures
• Exposure to waterfall calculations and carried interest methodologies is advantageous
• Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills
