Job Description

A Prisma Cloud Customer Success Engineer (CSE) is a customer-facing technical role focused on helping customers deploy, adopt, optimize, and get business value.

Core Responsibilities

  • Act as the technical point of contact for customers using Prisma Cloud.
  • Help customers onboard and configure Prisma Cloud across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Understand customer cloud-security requirements and translate them into Prisma Cloud solutions.
  • Guide customers through:
  • CSPM
  • CNAPP
  • CIEM
  • CWPP / workload protection
  • Container and Kubernetes security
  • Vulnerability management
  • Compliance monitoring
  • Troubleshoot Prisma Cloud configuration, integration, policy, and deployment issues.
  • Analyze customer security findings and recommend remediation strategies.
  • Help customers integrate Prisma Cloud with:
  • SIEM/SOAR
  • Ticketing systems
  • CI/CD pipelines
  • Kubernetes
  • Cloud-native security services
  • Conduct technical enablement sessions, workshops, demos, and knowledge-transfer sessions.
  • Create implementation guides, architecture diagrams, troubleshooting documentation, and best-practice recommendations.
  • Monitor customer adoption and identify opportunities to improve their use of Prisma Cloud.
  • Work closely with Support, Sales, Professional Services, Product, and Engineering teams.
  • Handle escalations and drive technical issues through to resolution.
  • Help customers establish cloud-security best practices, governance, and automation.

What Makes the CSE Role Different

A normal Prisma Cloud Engineer may primarily operate the platform internally.

A Customer Success Engineer is much more customer-facing:

Customer requirement → Technical design → Prisma Cloud implementation → Enablement → Adoption → Troubleshooting → Optimization

So communication and consulting skills are almost as important as Prisma Cloud technical knowledge.

Prisma Cloud

  • Prisma Cloud CSPM
  • Prisma Cloud Compute
  • CNAPP
  • CIEM
  • CWPP
  • Kubernetes/container security
  • Cloud compliance
  • Vulnerability management
  • Policy configuration and tuning

Cloud

  • AWS / Azure / GCP
  • IAM
  • Networking
  • Compute
  • Storage
  • Kubernetes services such as EKS, AKS, and GKE

DevSecOps

  • Docker
  • Kubernetes
  • Terraform
  • Git
  • CI/CD
  • Infrastructure as Code
  • API integrations

Customer-facing

  • Technical presentations
  • Requirements gathering
  • Troubleshooting
  • Stakeholder management
  • Architecture discussions
  • Documentation
  • Training and enablement

You would likely be expected to:

  • Independently manage technically complex customers.
  • Lead Prisma Cloud onboarding and adoption.
  • Design multi-cloud security architectures.
  • Troubleshoot difficult production issues.
  • Explain technical findings to both engineers and management.
  • Drive remediation and security improvements.
  • Mentor other CSEs/engineers.
  • Work with product/engineering on difficult customer escalations.
