Printed Circuit Board Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop multilayer PCB layouts using Altium/Allegro Design.
• Work closely with hardware engineers to understand schematics and design requirements
• Perform component placement, routing, and signal integrity analysis
• Generate manufacturing files such as Gerber, BOM, and assembly drawings
• Ensure PCB designs meet DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) guidelines
• Collaborate with fabrication and assembly vendors for PCB production
• Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues
• Maintain documentation and version control for all designs

Required Skills:

• Relevant work experience: 5+ years.
• Hands-on experience in Allegro OR Altium
• Very strong high speed and multilayer layout skills including multi-layer stack up design, differential pair, impedance control, matched delay, etc.
• Sound knowledge of electrical & electronic components – Surface Mount & through Hole.
• Very good knowledge of IPC Standards like IPC2221A, IPC-SM-782 and IPC 7351, UL and MIL standards.
• Hands-on experience in creation and validation of footprints, PCB library management and performs layout design.
• Good knowledge of PCB design guidelines for EMI / EMC aspects, some exposure on hardware testing.
