Job Description

Account Planner/Manager - Print

Position Summary

  • Coordinate production-related services to meet customer requirements and needs.
  • Perform Order Entry of new orders into Technique software.
  • Enter shipping and batch instructions for orders into Technique software.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all inputs, including but not limited to, print order, mail file, supplied inserts, outsource needs and verify completion of manufacturing instructions and production
  • Generate the Technique job plan for each individual job based on information provided/received from the customer.
  • Collaborate with Account Specialists/Sales to meet Customer requirements
  • Communicate Customer expectations directly to the manufacturing plant
  • Maintain/track plant schedule per customer approved schedule
  • Follow a detailed checklist to ensure all data is received and the process is completed.
  • Coordinate instructions and process distribution files for shipments via FedX/UPS & USPS

Job Knowledge & Skill

  • Requires a very good knowledge of web, sheetfed and digital printing (press, bind & mail) and Imposition Planning. Various finishing activities such as tipping, bellybanding and polybagging.
  • Very good book knowledge of soft cover, hard cover, saddle stitch and mechanical binding.
  • Understanding of version placement.
  • Knowledge of computers and software tools in order to complete duties. successfully. This includes but not limited to Technique, Process Shipper, Microsoft Outlook Excel and Word.
  • Professional English Language Communication Skills to read instructions and compose both internal and external customer emails.
  • Resilience in stress tolerance.
  • Ability to change direction quickly and multitask.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
  • Some Overlap with US working hours will be required for orders on short schedules that must be entered on the same day as they arrive.
