Principle System Support Specialist - Senior (Linux Services)

In this role, you will support Linux-based systems across on‑premises data centers and cloud platforms, providing 2nd‑level incident , problem, and vendor escalation support. You will work closely with global teams, participate in infrastructure projects, and help drive automation, standardization, and cost efficiency.

Your role includes:

  • Providing 2nd‑level support for Linux server technologies, virtualization, and clustering
  • Acting as a subject matter expert for OS-level issues, service failures, and performance bottlenecks
  • Supporting and tuning high availability and clustering solutions
  • Participating in global infrastructure and transformation projects
  • Collaborating with internal teams and technology vendors
  • Automating operational tasks using Bash, Ansible, Python or similar tools
  • Supporting hybrid cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS)
  • Participating in rotational on-call support

Ready to embark on the journey Here's what we are looking for:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience

  • 8+ years of hands-on Linux system administration experience
  • Strong experience in enterprise infrastructure or data center environments
  • Familiarity with at least one cloud platform: Azure, GCP, or AWS
  • Experience with clustering / high availability solutions
  • Knowledge of containers and platforms such as Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, or Podman is a plus
  • Good understanding of networking concepts and firewalls
  • Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, Ansible)
  • Interest in using AI tools to improve automation and operational efficiency
  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a global, multicultural environment
  • Knowledge of ITIL, ServiceNow, or change management is an advantage
