Job Title: Principal Structural Designer Offshore

Job Purpose:
Lead structural design and detailing activities for offshore projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables in compliance with project specifications, international standards, and timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage structural design and drafting for offshore platforms (jackets, topsides, modules, etc.)
- Review and approve 2D/3D structural drawings and models
- Coordinate with engineering, fabrication, and project teams for design alignment
- Ensure compliance with client specifications and industry standards (API, AISC, ISO)
- Guide and mentor team of designers and junior engineers
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery of design outputs
- Identify design risks and provide practical solutions
- Support fabrication yard and site teams with technical clarifications
- Maintain quality, accuracy, and consistency in all deliverables
Key Requirements:
- Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Civil / Structural Engineering
- 14 to 20 yrs of exp in offshore structural design (Oil & Gas)
- Strong experience in jackets, topsides, and module structures
- Proficiency in design tools like S3D /AutoCAD, PDMS / E3D, Tekla
- Good knowledge of offshore codes and standards (API, AISC, DNV)
- Strong leadership and coordination skills
- Ability to handle multiple projects and tight deadlines
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with EPC companies
- Exposure to international offshore projects
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability
- Effective communication skills
