Your impact

We are seeking an accomplished Principal / Specialist Bridges Engineer to drive the domestic delivery and support strategic growth within our Transport Structures team. This senior role is central to strengthening our position in India's bridge marketespecially in complex projects, major infrastructure bids, and capture management for priority pursuits.

You will play a key role in steering highquality technical outputs, leading teams on complex structures, and shaping winning strategies for major tenders. With deep structural background and proven leadership across design and bidding cycles, you will help elevate our technical excellence, expand client relationships, and support the successful delivery of iconic design and build bridge projects across India and overseas. In this role you will provide

Technical Leadership

  • Direct and manage design for longspan bridges, complex structures, and other transportation structures in multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects
  • Provide technical direction, guidance, and mentorship to junior engineers and cross-functional project teams.
  • Responsible for managing quality assurance in project delivery, complying to Jacobs Quality Management systems.
  • Support clients in technical decision-making, providing opening and middle game support in strategic pursuits, providing robust engineering solutions.

Project Delivery


  • Oversee design schedule, resources, budget, and deliverables to ensure timely and highquality outcomes, keeping our clients delighted.
  • Coordinate effectively with clients, contractors, consultants, internal teams and all other relevant stakeholders throughout all design stages.

Bidding & Capture Management


  • Drive the preparation of technical proposals, scope of Works, resource plans, and financial estimates for domestic infrastructure bids, benchmarking with the market standards and requirements.
  • Partner closely with business development teams to shape winning strategies for major pursuits
  • Lead capture planning efforts for longspan bridges/major crossings, and transport structure opportunities

Quality & Compliance


  • Ensure adherence to organizational quality standards, industry regulations, and statutory requirements.
  • Conduct technical reviews, risk assessments, and ensure appropriate mitigation strategies are implemented.

Client & Market Engagement


  • Build and nurture relationships with key clients, government agencies, and major industry partners.
  • Stay connected to the domestic infrastructure market to identify early opportunities and support pursuit strategies.
  • Represent the organization at technical forums, client meetings, and industry events.

Here's what you'll need

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering (Structures specialization preferred).
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in bridge design and projecy delivery.
  • Extensive background in domestic infrastructure projects, including highways, railways, and urban development. Having exposure to international clients will be preferred.
  • Proven experience preparing proposals and bids for government and private sector clients in domestic market.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as STAAD Pro, MIDAS, etc.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of IRC, IRS, IS codes, and MoRTH specifications. Exposure to international standards like AASHTO and Eurocodes will be preferred.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
