As a Principal Software Engineer in Risk Technology within the Corporate Technology team, you enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You leverage advanced technical capabilities and collaborate across the organization to drive best-in-class outcomes supporting the firm's portfolios

Job responsibilities

  • Create complex and scalable coding frameworks using appropriate software design methodologies
  • Develop secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others
  • Advise cross-functional teams on technological matters within your domain of expertise
  • Serve as the function's go-to subject matter expert
  • Contribute to the development of technical methods in specialized fields aligned with the latest product development practices
  • Create durable, reusable software frameworks leveraged across teams and functions
  • Influence leaders and senior stakeholders across business, product, and technology teams

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and ten years of applied experience
  • Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Expertise in one or more programming languages
  • Advanced knowledge of software application development and technical processes, with deep expertise in one or more technical disciplines such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile
  • Practical experience applying expertise and innovative methods to solve complex technology problems in technical disciplines
  • Ability to present and communicate effectively with senior leaders and executives, with a strong understanding of the business

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Practical cloud-native experience
  • Background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
