Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the chief architect for the global connector group, driving performance and optimization initiatives.
  • Lead architecture design and review for data pipeline service projects and features.
  • Guide engineering-wide initiatives across key technologies and ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with the Office of the CTO and other principal engineers across development locations.
  • Act as an active engineering team member to deliver robust, scalable features.
  • Enhance engineering systems, documentation, and development processes.
  • Coach and mentor senior and staff engineers to foster a culture of growth and engineering excellence.
  • Participate in hiring processes and contribute to building a high-performing team.
  • Develop proofs-of-concept (POCs) and bring projects to production-ready status.
  • Perform end-to-end system profiling, performance tuning, and optimization.

Skills We're Looking For:

  • 15+ years of professional experience in designing and delivering large-scale, enterprise-level software products.
  • Extensive experience as an architect or principal engineer with a collaborative and decisive leadership style.
  • Proven ability to lead large-scale architectural projects and deliver results.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and adaptability to engage effectively with engineers, product managers, analysts, and executives.
  • Extensive back-end development experience, ideally for customer-facing products.
  • Proficient in writing well-structured, efficient code and designing, building, maintaining, testing, and deploying software.
  • Experience with cloud environment architectures (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Kubernetes, Docker).
  • Hands-on experience with data pipelines and relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL).
  • Skilled in system profiling, performance tuning, and optimization.
