Autodesk Fusion 360 is design, engineering, electronics, and manufacturing software, all-in-one. In this role, you will develop AI-driven visualization capabilities, from photorealistic image generation to intelligent material authoring, scene creation, and more. You'll shape the future of how millions of users see and refine their designs, making professional-quality visualization accessible and instantaneous. This is a unique opportunity to bridge the gap between traditional CAD workflows and modern Generative AI, directly impacting how customers bring their ideas to life.
Roles and Responsibilities
Ship production-grade AI features across the rendering stack, including image and video generation workflows, material and texture synthesis, scene composition and etc
Ensure features meet quality, performance, and reliability standards across different OS platforms, and cloud environments
Partner with the Product Owner to break down high-level into actionable user stories and technical tasks. Facilitate technical breakdowns and identify dependencies
Build a robust pipeline that consumes CAD information and transforms it into photorealistic images
Develop the interface within the CAD environment, allowing users to specify materials, lighting, and environments via text or templates according to XD design
Explore methods to blend traditional rendering process with AI-driven capabilities for maximum performance and result
Establish telemetry, observability, and monitoring for production AI services
Implement guardrails for data privacy, responsible AI practices, and ethical model usage
Establish engineering practices for AI and maintain a clean, performant codebase
Minimum Qualifications
8+ years of experience developing complex software systems
Proficiency technical expertise in C++ and Python
Extensive experience with AI framework/automation for Visualization applications: AI pipeline integration, develop custom ControlNet or LoRA modules, Build applications such as image generation, texture/material synthesis, lighting estimation, etc
Agile delivery: Experience with iterative development, sprint planning, and stakeholder communication
Communication skills: Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts to PM, Design, Research, and executive stakeholders
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Machine Learning, Graphics/Visualization, or equivalent industry/research experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with building AI-powered workflows (prompt design, guardrails, evaluation) and integrating AI into complex desktop/cloud products
Experience with CAD software is a plus
Good understanding of the 3D graphics stack is a plus
