Role Description
This is a full-time remote position / onsite for a Principal RTL Design Architect / Co-founder specializing in AI/ML accelerator development. The role involves designing and architecting RTL solutions for AI/ML accelerators, managing design processes, and ensuring efficient construction drawings and architectural design. You will collaborate with engineering teams to create innovative designs and oversee the execution of semiconductor models from concept to production.
- Architecture Development:Design novel NPU and 3D DRAM architectures that incorporate near-memory processing units to maximize bandwidth utilization and minimize data transfer latency.
- Implement FSMs, control, outputs, rules, constraints, logic, memory, history, context
- Performance Optimization:Analyze performance characteristics of AI workloads (e.g., matrix/vector multiplication) and design hardware optimizations to mitigate bottlenecks and improve efficiency.
- Hardware/Software Co-design:Collaborate closely with compiler and software teams to ensure seamless integration of hardware features and optimize neural networks for the unique architecture.
- Modeling & Simulation:Develop and validate performance, power, and yield models for new architectures across various workloads (mobile, compute, XR).
- RTL Design & Verification:Work with RTL design teams and verification engineers, potentially developing Verilog or SystemVerilog models of critical dataflows.
- Innovation:Explore emerging memory technologies (e.g., ReRAM, PCM) and advanced packaging techniques (e.g., 2.5D/3D integration) to enable high-density, high-TOPS/W solutions.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively within interdisciplinary teams
- Experience in Architecture and Architectural Design, focusing on AI/ML accelerator development and semiconductor projects
- Expertise in Design Management and development of high-quality Construction Drawings
- Proficiency in RTL design and verification, with a solid understanding of SoC and embedded processor architecture
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- Proven leadership experience and a drive to innovate and co-found groundbreaking technologies
