Job Description

SO, WHAT'S THE STORY

DM is Evolving – And So Is Our Data Strategy

We're transforming how we do business and engage with our customers – and data sits at the heart of this change. Our strategic shifts demand a new approach to how we collect, analyse, and activate data to power critical business decisions at every level.

This is ambitious. This is complex. But most importantly – this is happening.

The question is: Are you ready to help shape what comes next

We're looking for bold, driven product leader with strong data background who thrive in high-impact, zero-to-one environments. This isn't just another product role—it's a chance to define, build, and scale data products for a global enterprise that will truly transform how business operates. No fluff!

THE GIG

  • Stakeholder Leadership: Partner with executives, internal and external tech teams and business teams to align on problem spaces, author strategic whitepapers for data products and solutions centring company goals.
  • Road mapping & Strategy: Maintain at least a yearly roadmap on a continuous basis, translating complex business problems into clear, concise, and actionable data product solutions, specifications and user stories. Bring your own feature ideas to fruition by demonstrating value to users.
  • Product Discovery: Lead and facilitate workshops and interviews with business stakeholders to elicit, analyse, and document detailed functional requirements for data products initiatives.
  • Domain Ownership: Own data domain/s end to end.
  • Hands on analysis: At ease in conducting thorough analysis of existing datasets, source systems and business processes to build deep functional understanding of data.
  • Delivery – Be accountable for the delivery of the data products and features within budget and at speed.

THE STUFF THAT SETS YOU APART

Required Experience and Skills – Our Must Haves

  • A product-minded seasoned data expert with experience in big data technologies and modern data stack for data product management.
  • 10+ years of experience out of which at least 4 years of solid experience as a Sr. Business Systems Analyst or Lead Data Analyst (non-insights role) in Retail domain preferably in fashion & apparel.
  • Must have deep knowledge on product master data management implementations, Customer Data Integration.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse audiences.

Nice to have:

  • Ability to collaborate with Data engineers and deep dive into data pipelines to understand and extract business and technical logics.
  • Proficiency in using tools like JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Miro.
  • Knowledge of any scripting language for data manipulation or automation
  • Experience with reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for validation and understanding data structures, not for generating business insights.

Core Competencies

  • A product mindset.
  • A builder at heart—you love creating from scratch and scaling products that users love.
  • A strategic thinker who balances technical depth with business acumen.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and builds one's own path.

CORE VALUES

  • BE YOURSELF: Drive innovation through creative problem-solving.
  • ACT COURAGEOUSLY: Build scalable, future-proof data ecosystem.
  • SHOW YOU CARE: Solutions delivering real business impact.

At DM your technical capability will go hand in hand with the below:

  • Great relationship management that delivers results through effective teamwork
  • You'll be a proud custodian to our DM's culture, embodying what we stand for and encouraging others to do the same
  • You'll help build a highly engaged team – ensuring a collaborative culture and providing guidance & support to other team members
  • You will take ownership for your own development, proactively seeking out feedback to build self-awareness
  • You will bring the outside-in; you'll share best practice across the team/business and encourage ideas sharing as well as collaborative problem solving
  • You'll lead the way and role model on all things DE&I & wellbeing
