Primary Job Title: Principal - Nursing College
About The Opportunity
Higher Education Nursing & Allied Health sector. On-site leadership role based in India responsible for driving academic excellence, regulatory compliance, and clinical partnerships across undergraduate and diploma nursing programmes. This senior role will shape curriculum delivery, faculty development, student outcomes and institutional accreditation while ensuring adherence to Indian Nursing Council and state regulatory standards.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide strategic academic leadership for the nursing college: set educational objectives, oversee curriculum design and ensure contemporary clinical pedagogy.
- Ensure full compliance with Indian Nursing Council (INC) and relevant state nursing council requirements; lead preparation for inspections and statutory reporting.
- Manage faculty lifecycle: recruit, appraise, develop and mentor academic staff; implement faculty-development programmes to raise teaching and assessment quality.
- Own accreditation, affiliation and quality assurance processes: coordinate NAAC/INC/affiliating university documentation, academic audits and continuous-improvement actions.
- Strengthen clinical education by building and maintaining partnerships with hospitals and clinical sites; oversee student clinical placements, simulation lab usage and practicum standards.
- Oversee operational and academic governance: budgeting input for academic resources, exam integrity, student welfare, and effective administrative workflows.
