As a Principal New Business Developer (Sales) in Mumbai, you will join a diverse, passionate team, dedicated to powering the world's payments ecosystem!
This purpose of this Principal New Business Developer (Sales) is:
The Principal NBD– High Value Payments will be responsible for driving new logo and strategic deals for ACI's Connetic Payment Hub, with a strong focus on High‑Value Payments (HVP), cross‑border transactions, and corporate banking use cases.
A typical day at ACI for a Principal New Business Developer (Sales) is:
· Own and drive new business development for Connetic Payment Hub, positioning it as the modern replacement for legacy MTS platforms.
· Prospect, qualify, and close complex sales opportunities within:
· Engage with banks payments, treasury, and transaction banking teams on:
· Lead customer conversations around modern payment hub architecture, including:
· Establish senior‑level relationships with C‑suite, Heads of Payments, Transaction Banking, and Technology leaders in Indian and regional banks.
· Work closely with Solution Consultants, Product Specialists, and Engineering teams to shape:
· Manage the full sales lifecycle including pipeline management, forecasting, and account planning in line with ACI sales practices.
· Stay current on market trends in High‑Value and international payments, regulatory changes, and competitive payment hub solutions.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience required for the job:
· Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
· 15–20 years of enterprise sales experience in High‑Value Payments or payment hub solutions.
· Proven sales experience with banks, especially in:
· Deep domain expertise in High‑Value Payments, including:
· Strong understanding of payment hubs vs. retail switches:
· Demonstrated track record of closing complex, multi‑year deals with banks in India.
· Excellent executive‑level communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
