Job Overview:

We are looking for an accomplished and visionary academic leader to join us as Principal – Pharmacy College and play a key role in shaping the institution's academic excellence, research culture, and future growth. This is an opportunity for an experienced Pharmacy professional to lead with purpose, inspire faculty and students, strengthen research and innovation, and build a vibrant academic environment, while overseeing the institution's academic, administrative, and operational functions. The role will also involve ensuring compliance with PCI, RGUHS, and other applicable regulatory requirements, fostering faculty and student development, strengthening academic and industry collaborations, and enhancing the institution's overall growth and reputation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Academic Leadership

• Provide strategic direction for the academic and administrative functioning of the Pharmacy Colleg
• Ensure effective implementation of academic policies, curriculum, and institutional objective
• Foster excellence in teaching, learning, research, innovation, and student developmen
• Promote interdisciplinary research, publications, patents, consultancy, and funded research project
• Guide faculty members in academic planning, curriculum delivery, and professional development

- Administration & Governanance

• Lead and supervise all academic, administrative, and operational activities of the colleg
• Recruit, mentor, evaluate, and retain qualified faculty and staf
• Prepare annual academic plans, institutional budgets, and development strategie
• Ensure effective utilization of financial, human, and infrastructural resource
• Maintain discipline and create a positive academic environment for students and staff

- Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure compliance with the norms and regulations of the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), RGUHS, AICTE (where applicable), UGC, and other statutory authoritie
• Coordinate PCI, RGUHS, NAAC, NBA, and other regulatory inspections and accreditation processe
• Ensure timely submission of statutory reports, approvals, and documentation

- Research & Quality Enhancement

• Promote research culture among faculty scholars and student
• Encourage publications in reputed journals, sponsored research, consultancy, and innovation activitie
• Lead quality assurance initiatives, Outcome-Based Education (OBE), and continuous institutional improvement
• Drive accreditation and ranking initiatives including NAAC, NBA, and NIR

- Industry & Institutional Development

• Develop collaborations with pharmaceutical industries, hospitals, research organizations, and academic institution
• Strengthen placement activities, internships, industrial training, and alumni engagemen
• Represent the institution at professional, academic, and regulatory forum

- Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Pharmacy from a recognized universit
• First Class or equivalent in B.Pharm and M.Phar
• Registered Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act, wherever applicabl
• Must satisfy the eligibility criteria prescribed by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), RGUHS, and other applicable regulatory authorities for the post of Principal

- Experience

• Minimum 15 years of teaching, research experience in Pharmacy, including at least 5 years as HOD & Professor or in an equivalent academic leadership position in a PCI-approved institution
• Experience in managing Undergraduate (B.Pharm), Postgraduate (M.Pharm), and Ph.D. program
• Demonstrated experience in academic administration, faculty development, research promotion, and institutional governance
• Experience in handling PCI, RGUHS, NAAC, NBA, and other statutory inspections and accreditation processe
• Proven track record in research publications, consultancy, funded projects, and institutional development is preferred.
