Roles & Responsibilities:
- Perform design calculations and quantity estimations for HVAC systems
- Ensure design compliance with company quality standards and procedures
- Review and check all design outputs; coordinate across multiple disciplines
- Lead and manage design teams, ensuring timely and quality deliverables
- Oversee task performance and team productivity (design engineers and CAD technicians)
- Monitor and ensure profitability by controlling design-related costs
- Coach and mentor junior staff; actively share knowledge and best practices
Technical Expertise Required:
- Proficient in District Cooling Plant (DCP) design
- Hands-on experience with:
- Water-cooled chillers
- Energy Transfer Stations (ETS)
- Condenser cooling systems and cooling towers
- Chiller controls and refrigerant leak detection systems
- DCP piping and control flow diagrams
- Thermal storage tanks and DCP efficiency optimization
- SCADA systems for DCP monitoring and control
- Chilled water supply/return piping systems and associated controls
Qualifications & Experience:
- B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
- 12+ years of HVAC design experience in complex projects
- Proven experience on large-scale projects like high-rise buildings, shopping malls, hotels, metro systems
- Proficient in HVAC design tools: HAP, HEVACOMP, etc.
- Experience in:
- Designing smoke extraction systems, car park/kitchen ventilation, stairwell pressurization
- Preparing reports such as design basis, concept/schematic designs, and technical specifications
- Bill of Quantities (BOQ) development
- Familiarity with local authority codes and international standards like ASHRAE, CIBSE, BS, BSRIA
- Working on international projects and green building practices (LEED, GRIHA, etc.)

- Ability to independently handle HVAC design and lead teams
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; capable of client interaction
