Principal I, Software Engineering

The Manhattan Active WMS Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting Manhattan Active WMS solutions to meet operational and business needs. This role works closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and high-quality WMS solutions that optimize warehouse and supply chain processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Development

• Develop and customize Manhattan Active WMS components (ProActive, Mobile, and Integration services) to meet business requirements.
• Configure and develop workflows, screens, labels, reports, and events as per business requirements.
• Implement business logic, validations, and custom queues within the WMS framework.

Integration

• Design and build integration solutions with upstream and downstream systems (ERP, TMS, 3PL, WCS/ASRS) using Manhattan Active integration framework, REST APIs, and messaging frameworks.
• Collaborate with middleware teams (MuleSoft/PI/CPI) to ensure seamless data flow across systems.

Testing and Deployment

• Support functional and performance testing of developed solutions.
• Collaborate with DevOps or Support teams for code deployment and version control.

Collaboration and Documentation

• Work with business teams, solution architects, and operational teams to translate requirements into technical designs.
• Maintain detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, change logs, and deployment guides.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and ensure timely delivery of tasks.

Support and Continuous Improvement

• Provide production support and quickly resolve incidents and defects.
• Recommend system improvements, optimizations, and best practices for warehouse operations.

Governance & Risk Management

• Maintain and update the RAID log for process-related risks and dependencies.
• Ensure 100% compliance with CSV and GxP requirements for all process documentation and execution.

Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 6–10 years of experience in development of Manhattan Active WMS components (ProActive).
• Strong knowledge of Java, SQL, REST APIs, Apache Velocity, and enterprise integration technologies.
• Experience with Jasper Report development and familiarity with Mark Magic label development tool (preferred).
• Proven experience with Manhattan Active WMS and SAP integration.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture, middleware, and data governance.
• Domain knowledge in Supply Chain and Logistics preferred.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills.
