Job Description
Within the Thales AVS/FLX Aeronautical Equipment and Techniques competence center, you will join the Testability and Test Means (TMT) Department team. You will participate in the development of Test Systems used in development for the Product Departments on the one hand, and on the other hand those implemented by the Industrial Competence Center for the production of Avionics equipment.
Qualifications: B.Tech/Masters in Electronics & Communication or Electrical engineering or equivalent with 16+ years of relevant experience. Working experience in Aerospace/Avionics/Defense products development is desirable
Job Responsibilities:
You develop Test Systems for our customers: product departments, production or support teams. Ensure the management of our test bench suppliers: organization, planning, sequencing of activities, technical progress, priority management, budget management, management of technical facts and reporting.
On the other hand, you are in charge of the architecture of the test resources. You offer innovative technical solutions, at the best technical level. You guarantee the validation of the Systems developed and the technical and documentary quality of the Test Systems delivered.
You challenge the architectures of benches and seek, where relevant, to develop common building blocks with other sites. You guarantee compliance with the company's quality standards for the development of the Test Systems for which you are responsible.
Your multidisciplinary SYSTEM and HW profile will allow you, depending on the projects, to develop testing resources such as automatic benches.
You listen to the customer and have a strong spirit of service. You collaborate with others (Product Departments, Production Lines, Maintenance Department, etc.)
You are a force for innovation and suggestions for improvement in the face of the various problems encountered with operational staff, with a team spirit for the Company.
You know how to technically manage suppliers to ensure their progress and be critical of the quality of their work.

Required Skills/Competencies:
Should have strong knowledge of multidisciplinary architecture Hardware system
Should have strong knowledge in analog and digital electronics to design and develop a Test bench system.
Should have strong understanding of Test system Development lifecycles including design, development, testing, verification and validation phases.
Should have knowledge in UART RS-232, RS-422, RS-485, I2C, SPI
Should have knowledge in 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet, PCIe, SMPTE, USB, ARINC-429, MIL-STD-1553 and CAN
Should be familiar with Oscilloscope, DC/AC programmable power supply, Arbitrary/Function waveform generator, Protocol Analyzers (CAN, ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553, Ethernet, RS-485), Digital multi meter/current meter,
Should be able to identify or perform trade off study for the test bench architecture/COTS
Should be familiar with mechanical structure required for hardware Test System.
Familiarization with CE certification process will add advantage
Should have experience of working with multi-disciplinary team (For effective design for required software, system, board design and Lab management)
Knowledge of defense or airborne products will be helpful.
Familiarization with Test Stand, NI Lab view, VHDL or C language will be added advantage.
