Principal Engineer Systems

Qualifications and Desired Skills

• Ph.D (with 8-14 years experience) in Engineering or equivalent experience, with a strong research mindset and adept in documentation of work
• System Architecture Design, System Integration, and System Reliability skills
• Knowledge of working principles and safety with X-ray Systems is a must
• Experience with CT Systems design with full knowledge of systems engineering, end-to-end know-how of design principles with impact on final image quality would be a significant plus
• Ability to create system level requirements and translate into sub-system design requirements
• Good grasp of root-causing issues manifested at a systems level to their underlying causes at sub-systems and their interactions
• Strong knowledge of translational research of theoretical design principles to practical reduction to practice prototypes with hands on ability for experimental research
• Analytical bent of mind to see through large stash of data/information to identify and isolate key aspects that are critically relevant
• Ability to maintain clarity of thoughts while navigating complex technological landscapes and design evolution
• Proficiency in programming languages like Python, C++, Javascript, Java
• Knowledge of AI-based physical security and surveillance systems
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Previous experience in R&D or product development with strong hands on experience on technical design journey from conceptualization to market launch is a must
• Must demonstrate willingness to constantly learn and adapt to growing needs of the domain with a growth mindset
• This is a senior design role and the candidate must possess and demonstrate an attitude to freely share knowledge and mentor others in the team with a clear understanding that team comes before self
• The role requires strong teamwork and the ability to manage, mentor and lead a team effectively to deliver to the assigned deliverable goals as a single cohesive unit
• Familiarity with Machine Learning and Deep Learning technologies is a plus
