  • Strong Knowledge in Automotive Processes
  • Good knowledge in Hardware and Software design and development
  • Plan and Track PD Schedule
  • SPOC for customer interface and drive CFT to meet the goal.
  • Develop a Schedule of PD activities and track delivery of the activities
  • Issue and Risk Management
  • Identification and resolution of technical product development issues
  • Release Management
  • Timely and correct release of Bill of Materials / Specifications to support project timing
  • Design Quality Tools Management
  • Co-ordination of Design Reviews, DFMEA, PFMEA completion, SCIF, etc.
  • Non-PD Technical Support
  • Lead communication of technical details to non-PD activities
  • Configuration Management / Change Management / Budget Tracking
  • Perform Tracking of Project Resources and Budget
  • Sub-System Testing Activities
  • Perform initial testing of components in order to sign off for verification / validation testing
  • Work package management for non-software work packages (e.g. HW /ME). Refer to SW PO RACI for SW Work packages.
  • Authority:
  • Engineering budget demand changes within board level agreed tolerance
  • Work Package signoff for released specifications and mechanical drawings
  • Start / Change / Stop work packages within tolerances set for the project phase
  • Process Deviation identification and escalation
  • Authority to approve non-deviated engineering product releases to the OEM customer
  • Authority to define Design bill of materials and associated specification for purchasing / manufacturing use
  • Sign off product level ESER / AAR for sub-suppliers
  • Significant characteristic identification and approval (design level)
  • Approve engineering samples for release to customer
  • Approve Process Tailoring
