Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Lead Engineer/Product Lead to drive the development of advanced avionics and airborne sensor systems. The ideal candidate will lead cross-functional engineering teams, oversee product development from concept through certification, and ensure compliance with aerospace regulatory and safety standards.
This role requires strong expertise in avionics systems, airborne sensors, reliability engineering, safety analysis, and certification processes, along with proven leadership and project management capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, integration, and certification of avionics and airborne sensor systems.
- Drive product strategy, technical direction, and execution throughout the product lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with aerospace regulatory standards, certification requirements, and customer specifications.
- Manage product schedules, budgets, risks, and deliverables to achieve project objectives.
- Coordinate with systems, hardware, software, testing, manufacturing, quality, and certification teams.
- Conduct technical reviews, design assessments, and risk mitigation activities.
- Perform reliability calculations, safety analyses, FMEA, FTA, and other system-level evaluations.
- Support system integration, verification, validation, and certification activities.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary teams.
- Interface with customers, certification authorities, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes, quality, and product performance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in avionics systems, airborne sensors, or aerospace product development.
- Proven experience leading product development programs and technical teams.
- Strong understanding of aircraft systems, avionics architectures, and sensor technologies.
- Experience managing engineering projects, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
Mandatory Technical Skills
- Strong experience in airborne sensor systems design, development, and certification.
- Expertise in vibration sensing and pressure sensing technologies.
- Knowledge of avionics hardware and software development lifecycles.
- Hands-on experience with:
- DO-178C
- DO-254
- MIL-STD standards
- ARP4754A (preferred)
- ARP4761 (preferred)
- Experience in reliability engineering and safety assessments.
- Strong understanding of verification, validation, qualification, and certification processes.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with aerospace or defense programs.
