Job Description
We are seeking to recruit a Piping Engineer to join our GCC engineering department and specifically our industry discipline helping to contribute towards its continuing success.
Responsibilities
In addition to above we expect the candidates to be qualified and contribute to the following areas:
- Design of District heating pipelines either above ground or underground.
- Design of pumping stations in district heating pipeline systems.
- Must have Rohr II experience and be fully proficient within the software
- Knowledge of EU standards and guidelines are advantageous
- Have extensive knowledge regarding material for pipelines in ground generally and pipelines for District heating specifically
- Have extensive knowledge regarding steel pipelines in the ground and stress analysis
Qualifications
- Have a Bachelor's or a Master Degree in Engineering and studied District heating as part of the Degree
- 12 years 16 years of experience in Piping design and engineering
- Have experience from working with distribution of media with high temperatures
- Good English verbal and written communication skills is essential, including report writing
- Capable of multi-tasking and managing multiple projects with the ability to accurately predict the time required to fulfil the individual scopes of work required.
- The role will require working alone or in team and as part of a large cross disciplinary team across office locations so the successful candidate should be self-motivated and also a strong communicator who works well with others.
- Competent with the Microsoft Office suite of programs.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects independently.
- Vast experience and exposure with field operations.
Software Skills/Capabilities
- ROHR2 Software, District heating, Pipe stress analysis, Pressurized Network.
BGV:
