Job Description

The Senior Onshore Pipeline Engineer will be responsible for FEED and detailed engineering of onshore oil & gas pipelines, flowlines, and trunk lines. The role ensures design integrity, compliance with international standards, and alignment with project objectives while managing technical deliverables, vendor documents, and interfacing with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain technical competence in pipeline engineering discipline and pursue continuous professional development.
  • Design and construct metallic and non-metallic pipeline systems following relevant international codes and standards.
  • Prepare and review FEED and detailed design pipeline scopes, drawings, and deliverables including alignment sheets, route maps, crossing drawings, isometrics, and field area layouts.
  • Perform and review pipeline mechanical calculations, stress analysis, and related reports using CAESAR II and AUTO Pipe.
  • Prepare and check pipeline specialty item specifications, data sheets, material requisitions, and TBEs for items like scrapper launcher and receiver, barred tee, line pipe, scraper signaller, induction bends, valves, isolating joints, fittings, chemical injection quills, corrosion coupons, etc.
  • Prepare and review pipeline construction specifications, external coating, FJC, and SOW for construction.
  • Prepare and check pipeline schematic diagrams, crossing matrices, survey scopes, material take-offs, and material specifications.
  • Manage vendor documents for specialty items and evaluate technical reports such as route selection, valve station location selection, and area classification studies.
  • Ensure engineering deliverables meet company technical competency standards.
  • Contribute to decarbonization, energy transition, and sustainability initiatives in pipeline design.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Pipeline Engineering (or related field).
  • 15+ years of experience in feasibility, conceptual, basic engineering, FEED, detailed design, and EPC/EPCM projects.
  • Strong experience with Pipeline Basis of Design, plan & profile/alignment sheets, pipeline data sheets, material grade & wall thickness calculations, specifications of pipeline materials, valve datasheets, corrosion control plans, stress analysis reports, road crossing analysis reports, sectionalizing valve station layouts.
  • Knowledge of pipeline codes & standards, EPC projects, and technical evaluation of vendors related to pipeline ancillaries and other equipment.
  • Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ArcGIS, QGIS, CAESAR II, AUTO Pipe, and MathCAD.
