Principal Engineer, OBDX

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Principal Engineer, OBDX based in India.

This role provides technical leadership for Oracle Banking Digital Experience and digital channel solutions within large-scale Corporate Banking transformation programs. You will lead solution design and implementation while translating complex business requirements into scalable and effective digital banking capabilities. The position combines deep OBDX expertise with business process optimization, system integration, API architecture, and end-to-end delivery. You will collaborate closely with business users, technology leaders, and cross-border teams across complex banking environments. The role offers significant ownership across the SDLC, from analysis and design through testing and production support. You will also help identify solution gaps, improve processes, and shape technology approaches that support broader banking transformation initiatives.

Accountabilities

• Lead OBDX and digital channel implementation and solution design for Corporate Banking applications.
• Translate business requirements into effective OBDX/Channel solutions, functional designs, and detailed specifications.
• Drive business process optimization, transformation, and continuous improvement across banking initiatives.
• Design, document, and support integrations, APIs, distributed applications, and system interfaces.
• Collaborate with Business Users, Technology Leads, and cross-border business and technology teams to align solutions with business objectives.
• Review solution documentation, identify functional or technical gaps, and recommend appropriate solution approaches.
• Support end-to-end SDLC activities, including requirements analysis, solution design, development coordination, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Contribute to large-scale banking transformation projects while managing multiple priorities, deliverables, deadlines, and stakeholders.
• Facilitate effective communication between business and technology teams throughout implementation and delivery.
  
  

Requirements

• 11+ years of total professional experience in technology, banking, or related enterprise environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Banking Digital Experience (OBDX) and Oracle Banking Channels, including product design and implementation.
• Strong experience in Corporate Banking implementations and a solid understanding of banking processes and domain requirements.
• Proven expertise in Business Process Management, process optimization, and business transformation.
• Strong experience with system integration, distributed applications, API-based architectures, and API Connect.
• Experience contributing to large-scale banking transformation programs and complex enterprise technology initiatives.
• Strong ability to gather and translate business requirements into solution documentation, functional designs, and detailed technical specifications.
• Experience across the full SDLC, including analysis, design, development, testing, and production support.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, collaboration, and cross-border working skills.
• Experience working with Business Users, Technology Leads, and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, deliverables, and deadlines in a complex environment.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
